The UMass Amherst Writing Center

The Writing Center is located on the lower level of the W.E.B. Du Bois Library, across from the Digital Media Lab.

Fall 2024 Hours

Sundays: 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Mondays: 10:00 am - 9:00 pm

Tuesdays: 10:00 am - 9:00 pm

Wednesdays: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Thursdays: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Fridays: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Saturdays: CLOSED

In order to better achieve our mission of supporting all UMass writers during this time of high demand, this fall the Writing Center will limit walk-in appointments to two a week. Writers are still welcome and encouraged to schedule up to two sessions per week, in addition to the option of walk-in appointments.
